I think we should keep the dome, but if Arthur Blank and future hotel guest in ATL are willing to pay for it, go ahead.

It's a moot point, all parties have agreed a new stadium is being built. Who gives a shite whether they need to or not.

I'd much rather see a new, smaller baseball park on the proposed stadium site. I hate Turner Field

I am surprised Coca Cola didn't try to get in on the action. I mean, it is a Georgia founded company.

Falcons absolutely don't need a new stadium and the whole thing is ridiculous. "Arthur Blank and the Falcons" will pay for most of it...which is to say that Falcons fans will pay for most of it. The city will kick in a few hundred million mostly paid for by out of town visitors. Whoever said the Georgia Dome is not yet paid for is correct, but my understanding is that it will be paid for before the new stadium is finished.

First design is over the top. I actually think it could turn out awesome. It could also turn out terrible. Very much a high risk, high reward.

Second design is okay. Kind of boring.

When is Atlanta scheduled to host its first college football semi-final? I wonder if they will shoot to have it done in time for that.
