Stats don't lie.
People, however, do.

quote:Well, Super Bowl wins is a team stat so I wouldn't even consider it really a "stat" for individuals.
I think you are trying to put words in my mouth. I was specifically referring to Super Bowls
quote:Again, team stats.
So you want to look up Aikmen's playoff record and Hebert's and get back to me?
You're basically proving my point by saying Aikman is better because he had better teammates.
To go a step further, Aikman had a better running back, better Oline, better WR, and he STILL put up numbers that weren't all that much better than Hbert. Why?

Still don't believe you.
Basketball and tennis are the sports that require the most even mix of athleticism and hand-eye coordination. With the exception of height, the things that make you good at basketball make you good at tennis and vice versa. The footwork used in the two sports is very similar, which makes sense because the playing surfaces are roughly he same size.
Basketball requires more raw athleticism than tennis.
Tennis requires more hand-eye than basketball.
I'll say:
Basketball: 60% athleticism, 40% hand-eye
Tennis: 60% hand-eye, 40% athleticism.
This is why tennis and basketball are awesome sports.

The difference is, every tennis player has to have great hand-eye coordination.
Not every basketball player is dribbling between the legs and doing all of the normal required stuff. Shaq didn't need great coordination, he could have still been a good player without it.
Joel Anthony has zero coordination whatsoever, he's an NBA player. That can't happen in tennis.

Still wondering about it now, in fact since you didn't answer it.

We're on the same page. I was going to add in another paragraph that limited my post to guards and/or perimeter players, but then I just didn't.
So, word up.

You deserve that for the holdout.
And that's for the Falcons playoff loss.

Two things:
1) I'm so using this in the future
2) context is provided by people, and omitting context is a lie of omission. But we're splitting hairs at this point

Bobby had a winning record with the Saints. He went to the Falcons and proceeded to have a losing record.
good man.
good man.

It's actually more of an indictment of Aikman and much less of me propping up Hebert. Hell I only used him because he had already been brought up.

Chipper Jones is the most overrated player of this generation.

Great is not throwing a red zone INT in a playoff game.
I'd be willing to bet a bunch of great qb's have done this.

You seem to know a lot about tennis. Aren't the Tennis serve and the baseball pitching motion very similar?

They're similar in that it's all about getting as much shoulder rotation as possible, and I think it's fair to say that a great pitcher could probably serve really well if he tried and that a great server could throw a heckuva fastball.
They're different in that the serving motion is less dynamic than the pitching motion. You've gotta stay behind a line so you can't stride.
Pete Sampras had the best serve in the history of the game and you can see the kind of shoulder action he uses in his motion.

It was once unpopular to think Jordan Jefferson wasn't a QB, others have come around to that thinking though

Had she not gotten stabbed, Monica Seles would have won more majors than Steffi Graf.
