You still don't have to give a crap.of a person is out or not. Just because you know, doesn't mean you have to care. You can just go on about your life just as if the person is straight. None of that stuff matters.

Announce them. And we still won't care, just as if you were doing the same thing to announce your gayness.

How is he the first? The season is over and his contract has expired. If some team signs him for next year then he would be the first.

Wonder what the vegas odds are on this guy getting another contract.....

He is the first active athlete to come out of the closet. Others have, but have been retired.

He will be on a team next year

If this guy is "so bold & brave", then why didn't he "come -out" during the regular season? He is currently Inactive. What if a team doesn't pick him up?

Why does his coming out of the closet have to be on your timetable? He came out when he felt comfortable.

Then he won't play next year

I believe that same sex couples will be more likely to have gay children. Disagree?

Probably because he didn't want it to become a distraction?

Im sure you'd bitch about him being a distraction to his team and say he should have done it during the offseason

Wait.. I thought he was going to be on a team next year?

Hey, maybe if he has emergency reconstructive "gender reassignment" surgery she could be the first woman to have those outstanding stats in the NBA?

Chaz Bono has a beard now. This could work!!!

@ESPNSteinLine 36s Another team sees "100 percent chance" Collins on NBA roster in 2013-14 cause "he can still play." Another: Weak free-agent C crop helps too...

Has anyone mentioned that according to wins below replacement the only openly gay athlete owns the worst season in NBA history?
