McCann will likely return sometime during the Reds series May 6-8.

Hell yeah. I'm confident even a Beachy coming off injury can beat out Teheran

I'm guessing Fredi has a lot to do with the decision to not send Gattis to AAA

Would be the correct decision, IMO.

So glad I get to watch finally. I get the Braves in FSN back home in MS but I get the shitty arse Ranger games on FSN here in BR.

That and his .867 OPS (as well as IMO better defense so far than Laird).

Beachy will begin his rehab assignment in 7-9 days, meaning he is on pace to return June 4-June 6 if there are no setbacks.

That seems a little sooner than expected. I thought we were targeting the ASB as his return date.

For the supposed defensive catcher, Laird has been super lazy it seems behind the plate.

I think Gattis would be better served by getting constant ABs

Weather is not looking great tonight in Detroit. Rain is heading due north towards the Motor City right now.

Absolutely, but the team is better served having Gattis apart of it, and this is the first Braves team in a long time to have a legit chance to bring home a WS.

Having a Gattis off the bench/ start a game or two each week could just be the difference in a division championship and wildcard.

He'll probably end up going down, which is better for him, but not better for the team this year.

I'm not saying send him down permanently. Send him down until like August.

Schafer won't clear waivers

That's still missing a bat that change a game with one swing for 3 months of a season. That's a lot if games that he could impact in what's going to be a close division race.

I just can't see them sending Gattis down. He can play 3 positions if needed. But hell I could be wrong.
