What's the Rams RB situation looking like with SJ in ATL?
You think you guys might take one in a later round?

I'd like to see one but I don't believe it's an area of concern for this team.
The 4 on the roster atm are:
Terrance Ganaway
Isaiah Pead
Chase Reynolds
Daryl Richardson
Richardson was SJ's backup last season he's not a every down back but he's a good 3rd down back, not big enough to be an every down back imo

Austin and Bailey for Rams I think Bailey may end up better of two

Good stuff.
Looks like they'll be relying more on Bradford's arm this year.

Definitely overshadowed by having Austin as a teammate, I was impressed with both when I saw them play last season. Getting a little excited about this upcoming year.

Jackson missed the boat on the Super Bowl by going to Atl

I'd think so, especially with getting him some weapons in this draft. This WR core could be pretty good this upcoming season with the additions of Bailey & Austin.
Givens & Pettis should improve over this offseason, both had decent seasons last year.

Two blog posts by ESPN's Mike Sando:
The WR & TE core is really good & young look to see good things out of them this season. As DawgDay asked earlier about the backs I did a lil more research & only Peade off those 4 I listed besides Richardson even had carries last year 1 of those 4 have to step up in Jacksons absence. Or we need to acquire/draft & develop someone to build this RB group.

Rams' new safety has 49ers connection
St. Louis Rams coach Jeff Fisher was the secondary coach for San Francisco in 1993 when the 49ers added safety Tim McDonald, who would become a six-time Pro Bowl choice and Super Bowl champion.
Fisher and the Rams are bringing McDonald's son to St. Louis as a potential starting safety. T.J. McDonald is 6-foot-2 and 219 pounds. He has exceptional athletic ability, as reflected by a 40-inch vertical leap.
The younger McDonald, chosen 71st overall Friday, should have a chance to start for the Rams as a rookie. The Rams released Quintin Mikell and watched fellow starting safety Craig Dahl leave in free agency. They needed to draft a safety and waited until the ninth pick of the third round to do so.
St. Louis also holds the 92nd, 113th, 149th, 184th and 198th choices. The team could still use help at guard and running back. Other primary needs at receiver, linebacker and safety have been addressed, although the Rams could use another safety through the draft or in free agency.

How Rams kept building at wide receiver
The St. Louis Rams' bold move up the draft board to select Tavon Austin was not their final move for a wide receiver in the 2013 NFL draft. Stedman Bailey, chosen Friday with the 92nd overall choice, comes to St. Louis as a polished possession receiver coming off a season in which he led the nation in touchdown receptions with 25.
Bailey played with Austin at West Virginia. Scouting one of them meant scouting the other, so the Rams should have a very good feel for both players and how the two could compliment one another.
St. Louis now has a young fleet of receiving targets for quarterback Sam Bradford. Austin and Bailey join Brian Quick, Chris Givens, Austin Pettis and tight ends Jared Cook and Lance Kendricks in that regard.
The Rams selected Bailey with a pick acquired from Atlanta in the trade that allowed the Falcons to climb from 30th to 22nd in the first round. That trade was critical for the Rams, in my view, because the team had given up considerable capital in moving up eight spots to get Austin. The trade down from No. 22 recouped picks and allowed the Rams to address other needs. The trade armed St. Louis with the 30th, 92nd and 198th picks.

I'd love to see Marcus actually get drafted ease him in or just give him most of the year off & have him pay dividends in the future.

Would love to get either Rambo or Lattimore, don't see how both could last til our 5th round pick. Tj Moe in later rounds would be nice aswell.

Barrett Jones C from Bama, nice pick for the OL

I kept wondering when the Rams were gonna address the OL, and to get Jones in the FOURTH round, wow. The Rams are having a GREAT draft so far, kudos.

Definitely nice to address the OLine need and Jones is versatile & can play multiple positions on the OL.
