Thoughts on why baseball seems to have slowed down

I've read several posts that people seem to feel baseball is in a slump. A couple of thoughts on that...
1) I told someone about a month ago I was concerned that we were peaking too early. You can't stay as hot as we were throughout the season.
2) I kinda question if they got "up" for the Bama series.. so that could have contributed to last week.
3) I was at the Sunday game... they were sluggish.. but they basically played 2 games Saturday night.

I wouldbt say we are slumping by a ling shot as we may have cooled down a bit, expect us to raise the bar again very soon...

they all got wasted and laid way too much on spring break.

Personally I don't feel that much thought should be put into it at this point. Let's see how they look this weekend against a top 10 opponent at home THEN we can draw conclusions. Just my opinion.
And to note I think we will look good this weekend.

Some of our fans just suck we could be 42-0 and people would still be bitching, Rantards is a perfect name..

If this is a slump then I love slumps. Bring em every season.

Dude, we are 38-4. At the college baseball level this is amazing. This is basically minor league baseball. It is truly amazing to have won 90.5% of your games!! You are having a great season in minor league baseball if you are anywhere above .500!! Chill out and enjoy the ride.

a good baseball team will stumble through a few teams from time to time.
what do you want us to do beat up on teams like we did against Kentucky. This is the SEC its amazing we have the record we have.

They won 2-out-of-3 in road series against three of the best--(after looking more closely into Vandy, I retract this part)--defensive teams in the conference.
Other than that the only loss came against BYU on February 23.
Ole Miss & Texas A&M seem pretty harmless offensively, but look for people to start hyperventilating about poor pitching after SCAR & UF score more runs than LSU is used to giving up the next two weekends. The Tigers haven't seen legit offenses yet, and the Cocks & Gators might be able to bring it.
Right now, I think people underestimate LSU's offensive prowess and overestimate LSU's pitching prowess, which is more a function of the competition played against so far.

They'll KILL South Carolina this weekend. The air will be electric and they'll be pumped up to finish the race. Book it.

38 and fricking 4!! There are 100 other teams that would kill for this slump.

Bregman is the best freshman in the country IMO; he andTrea Turner are the 1a & 1b best SS in the country. But, Katz and Rhymes are still the two guys that stir our collective drink. Can we win when they are scuffling? We can, we have, and we will; but, when they are hot, we kick arse. Some of our fans want total domination every game, but those of us who were fans in the 90s just want to win out and get to Omaha. We are awed by this team.

I am glad we aren't playing great right now. We are still winning. It is almost impossible to go the entire season without a slump offensively (not that we are in a major slump). 2 weeks away from the box and still 4-2 is pretty good baseball.

Eades will be fine.
2/3 at least.
2/3 at least.

It's a game of percentages ,some days they fall for you, some days they don't. The great teams can affect the percentages in their favor by being relentless and over achieve. This team is very good but not great IMO . They will have to great to win all in Omaha ,they can be very good and get there.
