He has been struggling big time. Might have hit a freshman wall. Put him at 7 or 9. Move raph or ibarra to the 2 hole

At the same time, he is the team's best bunter, correct? Not a bad idea to have a quality bunter in the 2-hole.

Just because he is asked to do it the most, doesn't mean he is the best.

I can't remember his last hit. He had a grounder at bama that the 1B went to get and then decided not too that I'm guessing was ruled a hit.

How many runs has he scored from the spot he's in right now? Or more importantly is he getting on base even though he isn't hitting well(obp/oba whichever you prefer)?

Lately I don't think he's getting on at all. He did walk once tonight.

I'm hoping going home for the weekend for the first time in 3 weeks will give the team a jolt.

So he's now at 40 runs scored after his run tonight. That is good for 4th in the sec and top 50 in the nation. While I agree he isn't hitting well apparently he's getting on base in order to score than many runs(2nd best on the team). Sometimes getting on base by any means is ok as long as they knock you in.

Y'all think mainieri asking him to bunt all the time might have something to do with the slump? It seems like he's asked to bunt in like half of his plate appearances. And if he can't get a bunt down, he's gonna be behind in the count most of the time.

Laird was getting on base
Katz was hitting HRs and driving in runs
JJ was....fielding
Eades was dealing

Dey done just fell off. Can't wait for the in season comeback. Sc does present a great platform of doing that
