Mud nationals is much better, so I've heard. I've never been to either.

Oddly enough my dad just bought a Side by Side and called me earlier trying to convince me to go with him this weekend. 
I'd probably consider it but I already have plans. Honestly it was a shite show but not so much that I'll say that I'd never go back because I'm sure I eventually will.

Every year after Mud Nationals I have fun browsing the Highlifter forums specifically to read about all the bad crap that went down at Mud Nats. Seems the theme every year is fight, underage drinking, and having your bike/equipment/ice chest/gas can/tools stolen. The park where it's held at posted a pic this past year the week after where the had about ~20 parked up front that were mostly stolen and then abandoned on the trails.

Best thing to do is just go on a trail ride with a group of guys. Be it trucks or 4 wheelers, you will have a better time in smaller groups getting to know everyone. Probably a better bunch of guys anyway

I've never been. It's not my thing to abuse vehicles in the mud; however, I know several people who have gone (more than once) and say it's a blast.

I talked to a few of the girls that are going and live around there. they will have, I think she said, well I can't remember the number, but it was pretty high, like 26 or so deputy's that will be there around the clock this year. They said they have never had that before. that ought to cut down on the illegal activities.

one girls boyfriend is a singer, the other girl's husband has the truck I posted. truck girl said the count last year was 4000. groupie girl said right, they must not count the kids cause it seemed like 10000.
but 26, she might have said 46, I wasn't paying too close of attention, but either way that is more than the 0 they have had in the past. I have never been but have heard the stories and have seen a few pictures. I hunt doves across the road from there and can hear them on the labor day one. changes the flight pattern a bit when they get cranked up.
