doesn't seem like that was much of an improvement compared to. more or less more production due to minutes given, but thats pretty much everyone
This is a horrible selection in my opinion. Paul George did not improve, he played more. His shooting actually dropped significantly.

That plus the fact that Vasquez kind of fell off towards the end of the year, and he probably wasn't even top 5.
Oh look, he finished second.

Like most of these individual awards, how your team does plays a part. George's improved production may not be better than anyone else's, but he became leader of a team that is a 3 seed and the guy he took the leadership role from is considered an All Star level player even though he hasn't played like one in a while. Vasquez stepped up his game and lead the Hornets to #5 in the Lottery.
nailed it

But danman said otherwise, so your link is meaningless.
Oh, and Curry...

Crazy how 3 Hornets were drafted in the 1st round in 2010.

someone on ESPN.com voted for Durant...no lie.

Call it second, but it wasn't close. He got more second and third place votes than first to boot.
Odd that Harden got more firsts that seconds and thirds.

Aminu had this award locked up after Game 1. Sunofabitch.

Why not congratulate instead of tearing it down?

I can buy Durant much more than Harden or George. he became a much better passer and defender than we had seen from him in plenty of minutes. sometimes the hardest improvement is from very good to legitimately great.

so what? congrats to gravy. he deserves the praise.
he was a lot closer to 1st than 6th or 7th where danman had him

Well this is some bullshite. Another popularity contest in the NBA. What a surprise
I agree with that too

Anderson improved a good bit across two seasons, then they gave it. It seems to me the scope is not limited to the year in which it was given, or prior improvement is factored in more than hard data on improvement in certain objective categories.
I agree with that too

fair enough, at least he got some respect

Well I don't think anyone expected him to win

No need to congratulate for a meaningless award (especially when we don't for coming in second in a meaningful game), but who is tearing anyone down? I just parsed the data. Others bashed him, saying he wasn't even fifth or whatever. I also noted, and it was supported, that the recipient often is not who made the most progress this year.
Things may be a little better here if less negativity is assigned to my posts with no reason.

The rolleyes emoticon just isn't sufficient here. When in disagreement, act like a pious douche.
