Well Hunter Newman isn't on the travel roster so my prediction is done already. Very surprised to see Nate Fury on the travel roster and not Devall or Newman.

I think a lot will depend on the Friday and Sat games. They will try to secure wins in those first before deciding on Sunday I think. If Joey B or Bonvillian hasn't pitched by Sunday, I think those are your best two options.

I didn't predict Newman to start in case you missed the rest of the thread.

Also, 0% chance that Joey Bourgeois starts.

Only thing that matters will be the regional rotation - with layup in first round, Glenn will start regional game 1, Nola game 2, Eades game 3.

This is good news. His last outing was not good at all.

I'm assuming if Glenn made the trip then he is good to pitch. I haven't heard any news otherwise.

That was my original reasoning too; however here is the article.

quote:

Sophomore left-hander Cody Glenn made the trip to Tuscaloosa with the Tigers, but his status for the series finale is up in the air.

Glenn took a line drive off of his left leg in the 4th inning against Arkansas last Sunday. He immediately left the game, walking with a noticeable limp, and hasn't thrown since.

LSU coach Paul Mainieri said Thursday that Glenn was scheduled to throw a bullpen session when the team got to Tuscaloosa as a test.

"I think he's making a lot of progress," Mainieri said. "He's still sore, but it loosens up and gets sore again. I don't know what's going to happen if he tries to go several innings."

Mainieri said he, trainer Jon Michelini and pitching coach Alan Dunn will monitor Glenn the next few days before making a decision on Sunday.

Should Glenn be unable to go, the two most likely candidates to fill in -- at least this week -- are junior Kurt McCune and senior Brent Bonvillain.

Seems like a pretty big gamble to bring him on the trip with the limited travel roster and he may not be able to throw.

I don't think Newman has pitched in an SEC game this year. I doubt he was going to start now.

I definitely agree with this now that Glenn is on the trip.

I agree with McCune, especially if we win the first two.
