J.J. Abrams, lifelong Star Wars fan (dude did not know anything about Star Trek), is going to frick up the Star Wars films is insane.
This is why Trekkies have a big problem with what he's done to Star Trek.

This rests solidly as my second most anticipated movie of the summer behind Man of Steel. Can't wait.
Indeed. Trailer looks fantastic.

This movie is going to be the mother fricking tits. By far the film I'm looking most forward to this year, even more so than the Hobbit. This film looks to be incredible. Can't fricking wait!

Which ought to make this next statement obvious...anyone who is worried that J.J. Abrams, lifelong Star Wars fan (dude did not know anything about Star Trek), is going to frick up the Star Wars films is insane.
I'm a slight Trekie, but what he has done is made Star Wars films out of the Star Trek universe. The first film was exactly what Episode I should have been, and it looks like this is what Episode II should have been. I have no doubt they'll be good, but it seems somewhat blasphemous that the person currently in charge of the Star Trek universe will now be in charge of Star Wars. If JJ hadn't done anything with Star Trek, I'd have no problem with him taking over Star Wars, but I think that's almost the only reason Disney chose him to lead the series.
I wish they went with Alfonso Cuaron, Brad Bird, or Guillermo Del Toro since they would have been more inspired choices that could have adapted well to the universe and made it incredible. I just think Abrams will try to stick too closely to Lucas' and Speilberg's style to call it his own.

Whoa there Smash. This looks really good, but Nolan is the man.

That ship the bad guy has looked like a Picard era Galaxy class. Is there suppose to be time travel in this one also?
What's the back story on the villan in this one?
