uentin didn't "threaten" him. Taking a step out of the batter's box towards the mound doesn't count as threatenin
The frick? That's like a "bro" at the bar flenching at you like he's gonna hit you.
Batter shouldn't have taken steps toward the mound acting like billy badass. What pitcher would like that and not say something? a japanese pitcher maybe, but most would mouth off too.

MLB needs to bring in Vince McMahon and teach these pitchers to perform a drop toe hold.
Safe, effective, and best of all, no broken collarbones.

not sure why he lunged his shoulder into him... don't think i've ever seen that before in a baseball fight.
They should hire good ole Chan Ho to teach him the proper technique

So are charging the mound and bench-clearing brawls still "part of the game"?
only a matter of time before a baseball hater shows up with the same old tired bullshite.
I don't know, are personal fouls and late hits and leading with the helmet still part of football?

A lot of you guys are discounting Quentin, he is the same size as Kemp +20 lbs. I think it would be a decent scrap.
He is a Stanford grad. It is highly doubtful he could whip anyone's arse.

Gosh Matt Kemp kept it so "real" right there. Apparently the whole thing was fricking bullshite.

so greinke didnt hurt his shoulder? i bet the dodgers are stoked.

Ok, I stopped reading after page 6 so I'm sorry.
He's been hit by Greinke twice before....once on the wrist that was a check swing, the other was the middle of his back. He's also had greinke throw over his head THEN followed up later in the game by being actually hit. This time Belisario hit him on Wednesday night, then Greinke hit him tonight. 3-2 count, catcher sets up outside and the ball hits him in the shoulder. I'm supposer yo believe one of the best pitchers in baseball misses his target by 4+ feet? and not just miss it, but miss high and inside. And let's remind everyone that Kemp had already been thrown at earlier in the game. This was definitely intentional. THEN Greinke mouths off to him. Quentin has NEVER charged the mound, and y'all have made it clear how many times he's been hit.
Greinke got what he deserved and I think it's pretty hilarious. Most y'all are mad because you either have Greinke in fantasy or your a Dodgers fan. I am not a padres fan (how can you be) and I don't care about Quentin. Because all these Greinke apologists I'm not really understanding.

What?
Greinke has hit him twice before this incident. As many times as that loser leans into the pitch and gets hit, half the fricking league has a history with him.

Why does every baseball expert disagree with you then?

ONLY after Quentin took a few steps towards the mound. Quentin initiated this shite. He is at least 80% at fault.

1 run game
3-2 count
runner on first i believe
makes little sense to put Quentin on and put the tying run in scoring position

I find it hilarious that you have ZERO clue what you're talking about. There is no chance greinke is trying to hit him in that situation.

Dodgers should start their hardest throwing relief pitcher for the next game against the Padres since Quentin hits 3rd.

yea this is what i don't get...he leans in like biggio did and then takes humbrage at this moment. I hope grinke told him that's bull shite how you're always leaning into pitches adn it hit a little to close to home for quentin because that is what he does.

No, there was no one on base when he hit Quentin. Quentin was the lead off hitter. Capuano then proceeded to throw a wild pitch which advanced the runner substitued in for Quentin and then Yonder Alonso knocked him in with a single.
