Her name is Jojo, so now we have Coco and Jojo.

Been good, just shifted away from following the gaming/hardware industry. In fact, I completely skipped over Ryzen so I don't even know what's around the corner. I have been playing games here and there, just finished Fallen Order.

Fishes good, except for the ones that die. Learning which species are "difficult" to keep in terms of their origin (usually mass-bred and inbred in farms and are basically clinging to life by the time they make it to a retailer). Cardinal tetras are a real bitch. I think I've purchased over 60 of those frickers and have around 20 left, the strongest survivors.

Trying to find water parameters that are suitable for all my species across all 7 tanks so I'm not chasing specific PH, hardness, etc. all the time.

Yeah, same, gaming computer hardware is like my 4th or 5th hobby now. Really just into small project sbcs.

Sure it's his little girl or boy who picked it out.

Edt: unless he is celebrating gay pride month, which is June, this month.

LSUToo, look at us on the beach 3weeks ago.

They are 100% encrypted by the ransomware, from other reports not "confirmed". How much you think this will cost Honda?

Anyone catching early B550 reviews?

Hardware unboxed did a good VRM test, long story short, practically speaking not many reasons to get X570 over B550, even if they arent priced much different.

Never cheap out on the PSU or MOBO.

Just because VRM tests hold up, doesn't mean the other components over time will hold up. Nothing is worse than trying to trouble shoot weird errors if it is a MOBO issue.

That is all I have to say about carrying non-flagship chipsets in MOBOs to be used in gaming rigs. Now, in other types of builds, say using consumer parts for a FreeNAS build, sure, just do research on the other components. They won't see the stress over time a gaming build MOBO might see.

Are you into Embedded MOBOs? SBCs or any other Embedded Solution?

Udoo Bolt Gear: Ryzen Embedded MOBO

I really want that Udoo board to mess around with, idk for what, maybe emulation box?

I just purchased a J5005itx to upgrade my FreeNAS box and put it below 10W under load.

Edt: did they fix the whole BIOS limit issue? Well not fix, but adjusted in any way? Or that is mostly just board specific?

No, the fallout games never sucked me in. Probably didn't give them enough time, or just my mindset in general when trying to play them.

They are terrible games, honestly junk. But the world/universe built is fun to explore. I also love the lore, I read every piece of text in the game.

Oh my if true.

quote:

Then we've got the actual performance slides. The first is a straight 4K gaming performance graph, highlighting ten different games and the RX 6900XT's relative performance compared with Nvidia's RTX 2080 Ti. For reference, it's sometimes as much as 52% faster than the flagship Turing GPU, and will only cost $999. Bargain.

quote:

Ray tracing performance of RDNA 2, and the fact that at worst you'll get 91% of the non-ray traced frame rate performance in the current suite of DXR-enable games. Seems like RXRT, if that is what AMD's marketing department feels it ought to call RDNA 2's ray tracing implementation, isn't going to have the performance penalty of Turing's RT Cores.

Buy stock boys.

So performance of a 2yr old die that I purchased 1.5yrs for $900 pre-WB?

They have to have a version without the garbage cooler right? Guessing we have a $799 version which performs between 2080 Super and 2080 Ti?

51% more performance??? That is bonkers. No way it's true. All the rumors have been just slightly more powerful than 2080ti no chance its 51% in 4K.

Still though, buy stock hard right now. This is AMD's ryzen launch.

It is most likely task specific benches that all parties, Intel, AMD and nVidia like to push to ppl who don't know any better.

That shtt doesn't work with us, but bumps up stocks from $55, hopefully. =) I'm putting money into AMD weekly, little 10 shares at a time while its hovering around $50.

What keeps their stock from shooting up their with nVidia (I know it wont see that lvl any time soon) but is AI? That is the reason nVidia's stock went crazy last year, is AI right?

I am, I took all my AAL earnings last week and put into AMD before the PS5 event. It has been a weekly buy.

They will never be nVidia in the graphics department anytime soon, they just can't match the R&D, but fckk I was hoping prices would be closer to $700, and it might be $799 without the cooler.

Well you don't try and revive every part of your business at once.

It was always get Ryzen mainstream and the company back profitable through cpu division. That's a check now.

Over 20% increase in gpu division R&D since last year now that they can.

Seeing results building will help the stock greatly as long as the launch goes smooth. Then you can go from there on everything else related to the GPU division including AI and data center tech which is being called CDNA for this years cards.

It's a process to come back like this, but beyond well on their way.

Yes I know, but the problem is they had been on their heals even after bulldozer.

They just never kept up after Big Kepler.

Edt: Almost wish they never purchased ATi.
