Hello all,
I've been on xbox since it first came out but I've recently started thinking about getting a PC. I know absolutely nothing about PC's, but the lack of titles in the xbox world is frustrating.
I've read through a few of the recent pages on this thread, but it's too many to go through the whole thing.
My budget will be around $1000. Can you recommend a complete package that wont require a lot of "building"...
TIA

Building is easy and will save you money. Any retard can do it.

I think you over estimate my capabilities. I'm not just any retard...

I might try it out. I found a website that offers advice on products for different games and provides the fps for a complete package.
What's the lowest fps you can have but still have a good experience?

For me, 60 min. Your monitor and resolution will determine your build.
For a grand, you should be able to build for 60+/1080 pretty easily.

Hopefully more than 60. Geez

60 is still fine for most games.
But all depends on title, depends if you prefer eye candy and it doesn't mess with gameplay.

Framerate over 60 doesn't matter until high level competitive gaming.
Meaning your 144hz doesn't amount to shite playing fortnite against the general gaming community.

Black Cyclist, they just can't let us win at any sport!
You grew up riding MX? If so, do you remember the speed of James Stewart (Alligator Mouth)? That fcker was odd to see on the track being around all the rednecks. Only ever seen him as a kid in Nationals at Hurricane Mills.
That SOB could have won every race if he wanted to, he was that damn good.
Edt: He always reminded me of an alligator.

I don't totally agree, but yes frames over 60 aren't everything in most genres and even sometime fckk with the mechanics.
In most games I still rather take fidelity over frames.

Stupid question...what is fidelity in PC terms?

It could be different things since "fidelity" describes how close a reproduction is to the thing being copied, sorry I should have clarified. In this case I'm speaking of "graphical fidelity", how close the world on screen looks to the actual world.

Gotcha..
On another note, I have an Acer monitor that I'm using for my xbox currently. 75 hz.
Would that be good enough?

High as frick. I wouldn’t spend $1000 to get the same experience as a console 10 years ago. Y’all need to get with the times and stop using 60fps as a bench. 144hz at 1080p can be done with a tin can nowadays.

75hz is decent and fine to start off. I’d use that until you can get a good monitor 144hz at either 1080p or 1440p.
I started off on an Asus 75hz

Yeah we've moved past 1080p/60 years ago even just for benchmarking.
High refresh rate or go home these days.
We're getting a frick ton of 4K/144Hz monitors this year.

What do you think the min specs are to run 4K/144?
I’d imagine people who want 4K want great picture but can anything right now run 4K at full graphics at 144?

Nope
My 2080Ti under water struggles to get me 70in most games when everything is turned up.

When they launch? Yes, AMD and Nvidia's offerings for this year will be out months beforehand. I would imagine someone like LG would even try to stagger a release around the new GPU's but mini-LED tech is cutting edge so I don't think they can speed up on their Q4 release.
