I think you got me misunderstood lol

I love superhero things. I just like to frick with people. I do dislike Assassins Creed though.

Basically if someone is super strong-minded on something, I try to frick with them.

That's why the Epic store thing makes me laugh.

I don't. I hate it all but love a super hero MMO. Weird but it's not made up of DC/Marvel characters.

Also hated the AC games until Origins. Origins is amazing to explore. So you now look dumb making fun of ppl who like the new AC games.

The Epic store thing. I rather not even touch that mess again.

Im looking to get this ASRock board for my new server. LINK

Will using a m.2 SSD take away one of my sata ports? I need 5 drives (m.2 SSD and 4 spinners). I know on some of the older boards with m.2, the m.2 spot used one of the sata connections

I'm sure it will. Usually does.

Pull up the manual.

I did but didn't really notice anything from it. I can get the H370 board that has 6 sata ports, but it's used for $90 on amazon

I'm so addicted to Star Trek atm.

Can't go to sleep without putting a Star Trek novel on. The lore is so damn good.

I want to be Q this Halloween even.

I have/had 3.

2 tablets and the first handheld.

Are you talking about the box top unit? (Console/unit)

They are about the same. Nvidia stream seems "cleaner". Also uses less over head if you have an nVidia gpu.

Honestly can't see the difference on a TV when 10ft away.

yeah the box top unit.

How does the stream work for gaming? Does it route the "power" from my computer and uploads it to the cloud and pushes it to another device? Does it work outside of my network?

I have gigabit internet so that is not a problem.

I only have a steam link, but I assume it works the exact same.

It basically uses your computer to power the game through the streaming device. Biggest PITA with those devices is that you're limited to the hosts resolution. So if you're PC is on a 1080p display, the streaming device will only output 1080p, no matter if it's on a 4k TV.

One of the reasons why I built an HTPC for my living room PC (have a 4k TV) and use the steam link in my bedroom on my 1080p display

No all over lan.

Make sure you are hardwired.

Period.

Edt: Also everything Blue said

What is your intent to use?

Yep, so it doesn't really matter what your internet speed is. It's all dependent on your router

I've just read a few that says you don't need to be on lan.

I intend to play games when away from my home and at my parents house. Don't want to spend the money on a gaming laptop and the console is to hefty to bring along.

You don't. But remote streaming sucks.

You can Port out but lag would be terrible in most cases

Are you talking wan vs lan or wifi vs hardwired?

Hardwired is the only option. These ppl are retards who say it is enjoyable over WiFi

It's "manageable" but you will get weird wifi hiccups. Plus you will need router in LoS tbh.

I've tested for years.

It's doable with certain genres but not all. And why go wifi when you can just run a line?

Because I'm taking it with me to another location. It won't be on the same network.

Yeah it's doable.

Not fun.

Nvidia shield would be easier to use. No router config. Not only that, you would have to remote into your network. VPN. Your router wouldn't be powerful enough. Would need to build a box to handle that loud.

So check this video out. I know y'all don't like fortnite but that is what I play. LINK

He is on pretty low ping (~20) and getting over 200fps at 720p with the geforce now.

I'd start at around 1min

so I could just use another computer and use geforce now app?

That is GeForce now.

Not streaming from home probably. Is he using games on nVidia's servers or running on his PC?
