I wonder what it would cost to start one of these programs?
Just purchase an AverMedia capture card or box.
Cheaper than upgrading your CPU to Intel E or 8core AMD.

Maybe not when you run an intel P4. I was going to build a PC at the start of the year but put it off. This kind of peaked my interest but a lot of these guys have $2,000 + systems easy.

You don't need all that hardware for streaming anyway. Coyote, was it you who told me your 8350 did a better job than your 6-core Intel in that regard? If it's just core-hungry, you can build a solid streaming box for under $500 + the cost of whatever video card you'd prefer.
Or approach it from a different direction and use ShadowPlay. I would bet some of the GTX 980/970 owners are just using Shadowplay for Twitch streaming. Uses GPU power. It's supposedly less data-efficient than x264 (as far as quality for the bitrate), but it will free up resources for those CPU-hungry games (which are actually some of the popular games to stream).

Yeah, my $150 8320 performed slightly better than this $600 4930K.

Do you still play games?
Posted on 4/27/15 at 8:34 pm to Mr Gardoki
Everyday, a lot of Hearthstone and some Destiny.
No good games have really come out in a while. I've played GTAV on PS4 and now waiting on the Bats and Witches.

Not a fan of that genre. Have Dark Souls I & II on Steam I've never finished.
Have you tried the new courses for MK8? Played them yesterday, not too impressed with this last DLC.
Edt: I'm also extremely late to the Destiny party, but really enjoying it. I'm a MMO type of guy and this game is really well done. It isn't WoW and certainly not a CoH/CoV, but does keep me interested longer than my current MMO SWTOR.
I'm really enjoying playing and being a noob in the world. Also realizing how bad I'm at FPS games on a controller since I come from a KB/M PC.

Mario kart didn't hold my attention. I also wasn't big with the souls games but Bloodborne hooked me. A lot of people are saying the same.

I do get why Dark Souls is popular, just don't have the time these days to die repeatedly in game and make NO PROGRESS! Lol

Just sent you a steam message
Posted on 4/28/15 at 9:41 am to Mr Gardoki
Didn't get anything, but Steam messaging is terrible.I have 1 machine which stays on all the time in case I want to stream yo my Shield tablet. By doing that, it seems to fckk up messages since I then do not get them on the Steam phone app.

Is this a pretty good deal? I am looking for a new monitor and 1440p, 144Hz, Freesync, and 1ms all look like great stats for $500.

As long as you like TN panels, I would have got that same one if it was IPS but I can't do TN panels. Waiting for some of the others to launch instead. The red is pretty terrible too, I think you could find better here before too long.
