Impossible. I stuck that thing together with my own special sauce.

so it turns out there is a really good reason to have 16GB of RAM... LINK ... apparently it can reduce the writes to your SSD by up to 63%

I have to be a jackass and say germans, only cause I posted this yesterday.
They should have done more tests on it though because 4 to 16 is a big jump. I would be more curious to know 4-8 and 8-16.

How do you know which part to pick on pcpartpicker if there is 5 of the same item?
For example I am trying to select my EVGA GeForce GTX 760 and it comes up with 5 different ones, all at different prices. Is there a difference between them? Which do I pick?

Look at things like core clock. Also do a little research on the ones you narrow it down to. Some can be reference cards that be fitted with water blocks in the future and then some can have a horrible factory cooler on them and other stuff. Just read up on them.
Also, EVGA alone can have 5 different models of an Nvidia card but one may be a factory OC, one may be voltage locked, etc. Just do some research.

I work for a homeland security/defense firm. I don't work from home every day, but I've been home more often than not. It's convenient because the hours can be irregular depending on the project going on, and all-nighters do happen on occasion. I can basically be "on call." I love it. Although I can see how it could be abused, I do actually work during those hours

So I made this my wallpaper. My wife actually said it looked cool then said it would be real cool if it matched my fan lights(which are blue led that Puff sent me). Then she realized she may have opened a can of worms... I started thinking about water cooling with the green dye...
This would go well with that background

Can you guys list out a build for a $1000? I'm tired of my laptop burning a hole in my leg while I game, plus I'm reducing the life of the laptop by using it in this fashion. Time for me to get another computer!

I help when I get home, do you need a monitor? Just gaming? Windows?
Posted on 7/13/13 at 12:51 pm to Mr Gardoki
Gaming is priority #1 for this computer. I'm thinking I can grab a copy of windows somewhere and I don't need need a monitor so all funds can be dedicated to parts.
