Seriously, in what world is that a white ankle?

This wouldn't have happened if they had put him on IR like i proposed months ago.

I think he's only dumpable right now. IMO he has to prove he can play back to backs before a team will trade any assets for him so I don't think he goes anywhere this summer. One possible exception being a team like Chicago. I was the one who put forth the aforementioned speculation and I base it on 3 things. 1) There is an alleged rift between the Bulls and Rose right now and his brother made public comments about not being happy that the Bulls didn't make any trades. 2) Deng seems to be the name that gets brought up when it comes to doing a dump to avoid taxes. Swapping Deng for Gordon wouldn't avoid taxes but Deng being on the Dump block says he's expendable. 3) Gordon and Rose were AAU backcourt mates and a poster on HR that supposedly is on familiar terms with Gordon's family says his dream team is not the Pacers but the Bulls and reuniting with Rose. Presumably Rose would have similar feelings in this BFF era of the NBA.
I think a straight up swap of Deng for Gordon is a lot more likely than getting a 1st too, and I can also see a scenario where the deal involves a swap of Jason Smith for Taj Gibson because Deng for Gordon gives no cap relief and Smith is $5 million per year cheaper than Gibson once his new deal kicks in next season.

Yeah, Gordon for Deng and a 1st is a trade most of us can't make fast enough. Gordon and Smith for Deng and an $8 million per year Taj Gibson feels more like a dumping Gordon trade than a win win. But that's kind of what I think a trade with Chicago would end up looking like.

Gibson would be a great 3rd big. At that price, I think longer about it, but still do it. The defensive versatility of Gibson would be huge. The only drawback- it would be a modern frontcourt and I dont know if Monty is ready to handle that.
Why wont the Bulls just amnesty Boozer? Thibodeaux will have a heart attack if they dump Deng.

Because they're cheap. Why is a contender in a big market worried about the tax? Every time it's been mentioned I get the impression it's for financial reasons rather than the roster inflexibility that kicks in at $74.5 million.

shite. Hes still got $32million coming over the next 2 years. I thought he was expiring next year.
If they move Deng and continue to be cheap, the Bulls might have missed their window already.

Man, I would lose my shite if we could get that for Gordon and Smith

Gibson's not a bad player, but $8 million is a lot to pay a 3rd big.

Wow. This is exactly the type of original commentary that this board has been lacking all these years. Watch out, 4Chan, here comes Hornets Talk.
