and it is my opinion that the first and easiest course of action would be to shut down the exchanges.
One of the bitcoin exchange links wiki posted a while back (the exchange is called MtGox or something like that...I forget the exact name now) says on its website home page "we process over 80% of bitcoin transactions." At least it said that back when I clicked on the link. If one exchange processes over 80% of bitcoin transactions, the govt can do great harm to the system if it only shuts down that one exchange.

I already forced you to concede shutting down the exchanges would eventually choke off the bitcoin economy to the point of it no longer being a threat to the USD. stop being childish and post a real response if you have one.
