Jake Long (OT), Ed Reed (safety), Brady Quinn(QB)--would be a good start in my opinion.

Maybe Reed. I don't see the other two

Heyward-bay released....I think he would be great here and could take deverys place as the deep threat, he should come relatively cheap and he didn't have a QB his entire career in Oakland

He would be a good pick up but I think you underestimate what other teams will be willing to pay him.

They also released DB Michael Huff

Hugo, your boy Chung got signed by the Eagles.

I would not mind bringing in Huff for a tryout. He's a better FS/nickel hybrid than Malcolm.

It shows that these Brees and Flacco contracts really cripple teams.

We need someone to backup Vilma backing up Hawthorne
yay... so much speed at that position. I can hardly contain myself...
But I guess we don't really know much about Hawthorne because he was hurt most of last season.

Safeties having a lot of tackles really isn't a great thing.
its not very uncommon either.
But I'd like to see us add more speed to the LB position. Who? I have no fricking clue... I think the D-line could use some work too. I mean the front seven was pretty bad last year. Part of it was the scheme but how long have we been saying this? And trying to use it as a scapegoat? We haven't had quality speed at LB for YEARS now. I mean I guess it got better when Vilma first got here but he isn't the same player anymore.
And I agree with the point about Seymour.

Seymour, who I REALLY wished we would take a look at. I don't think he'll cost too much, still is a good player, and could allow Hicks to back up all 3 positions on the line.
I'm with you.
