going by what his agent has said, he'd love to play anywhere he might make several million dollars.

Harrison's agent, Bill Parise, hasn't been shy about drumming up interest in his client through the media. He'd reportedly "love" to play for the Patriots, Browns, Ravens and now Saints. New Orleans hasn't made any contact yet, but it would be a fit as the they transition to a 3-4. When healthy, Harrison can still get after the quarterback as he enters his age-35 season.

he's 34 and didn't have that great of a season last year. he also hasn't played 16 games since 2010. why the hell do y'all want him?

Clearly trolling Cleveland fans.
Even at his age, he's still a difference maker no doubt. He's exactly what we need right now IMO. An experienced, decorated vet who knows the 34 inside and out to teach the young guys.

All teams made sense until Cleveland

I'd have mixed views on a James Harrison signing. I know he's old and he'll want a nice check.
But its hard to be picky as a fan who wants the defense get better. And he would most certainly make us better.

Hes from that area and went to school at Akron and is a good scheme fit and they are looking to spend on defense.
Makes as much sense as Ed Reed signing with the Saints because he grew up in nola

I would love to have him as a veteran who helps the young guys transition to the 3-4 and give us some good production.
Would take him only if it's cheap.

plus coming off last year not sure we need a guy with his rep?
Screw that. Own it. James Harrison for cheap coming off the edge?

Can still rush the passer when he's healthy. Brings big hits and attitude to a D, something we missed last year. At 35, he's not expecting big money. And you bring him in knowing he's not likely gonna play 16 games. May not be a 3 down player but he could play a role. Would look good in this black and gold

good examination of Harrison here.
The explosive pass rusher was no more and the Steelers simply couldn’t justify spending as much of their cap room on him as they were. Not for a guy who managed just 28 combined sacks, hits, and hurries on 294 pass rushing attempts.
That doesn’t, however, mean he has nothing to offer. Indeed, with the 3-4 being in vogue and plenty of teams devoid of talent on the edge, Harrison should find a warm market if he’s prepared to be flexible.
Yr RushesDisruptions Pressure %
2008 434 65 14.98%
2009 366 59 16.12%
2010 476 79 16.60%
2011 253 43 17.00%
2012 294 28 9.52%
The table above shows a stark decline in his ability to generate pressure. From constantly being one of the league’s most productive pass rushers, he would only finish 19th out of 32 3-4 outside linebackers in our 2012 Pass Rushing Productivity rankings. A huge drop from placing in the Top 5 the four previous years.
Yr Run Snaps Stops Run Stop %
2008 385 32 8.30%
2009 361 34 9.40%
2010 369 39 10.60%
2011 295 27 9.20%
2012 307 28 9.10%
In essence, the worst case scenario with Harrison is you’ve still got a player who can operate relatively productively on early downs. The upside being that his 2012 was an aberration and not the start of a trend.
That is why a lot of teams, perhaps focused on names like Paul Kruger and Cliff Avril, might be wiser to look at a cheaper and more proven pro like Harrison.

OK, at 35 he's NOT getting big money from anyone

this, better thread title- Harrison would love to play for any team willing to pay him
When they hit the wall it can be a pretty swift decline. Everyone remembers Sharper's great 9 pick season in the SB year. What most forget is that he only had 1 start and 16 tackles left in him after that. Only remember him even getting one workout audition from any team after that.

He refused to take a paycut to get paid 6 million this season because he is or was confident he could get more on the open market, idk if he will but Dont think you are getting him for scraps

He just wants to play for a team and fan base that hates Roger Goodell as much as he does.

Exactly. Was just gonna post this but you beat me to it.
