I average 14.5 with mostly city driving in my 5.0 (with the ragtop down so my hair can blow ) and 19-20 on the interstate. I don't think there is much difference in the two, if any.
ETA: 4x4 btw

Just bought one myself. What kind of tires did you go with?
Posted on 3/11/13 at 1:13 am to will1883
I have a 2011 and I get 18-19 in city depending on how I drive and 22-23 on hwy. I don't drive like a bat out of hell and on the HWY I keep it around 68-70. I did change rims and the ones I have a lighter than the original ones but have the stock 18" tires.

Not all about that. If I want all that I will buy a truck I don't mind tearing up.

My 2012 5.0 gets 18-19 city and 22-24 highway. Because I don't treat her like she stole something.

The only real advantage of the ecoboost is getting good power from a small engine.
No matter what you do though, you have to burn gas to make power. Those turbos just let the smaller motor burn more gas than it normally would

I was down to an ecoboost and a Tundra. Went with the Tundra expecting to get less mileage than the Eco, but from what I've read it's right about the same. I get 17.5 doing 75 from Thibodaux to Crystal Springs with about 800 lbs of gear in the back.

This is a 2013 Lariat with a 3.55 axle sitting on 18" 275/65Rs. Took 2 months to get it since I had to order. Turns out nowadays, its a bitch to get a non-fleet truck extended cab. Not getting a short-bed and not letting a +$40k truck sit on my driveway for a bunch of illegals to rummage through.
I'm at 15 mpg since I got it 1,300 miles ago. I live inner city Houston and 250 miles of that are towing an 18' center console probably all in at 2,000 lbs. I've seen it at as high as 21 mpg going down I-10 at 65mph with no trailer. My last two fishing trips I've gotten around 12mpg for the trip. City towing keeps it going around 8mpg, but once i get out I'll get 13-14mpg with a 20mph wind in my face and 15-16mpg on the way home. Waiting for the summer when we start running south to Port O'Connor and I'll have 100+ miles open hwy cruising to see what I can get.
Kicks the shite out of my '04 Silverado 1500 in all aspects, but I also paid 64% more for this bad boy. Great idle speed towing. Just shift to drive and it yanks that boat into motion. The Siruius outlaw country station kills any fm radio i've heard too.

The only package I would prefer over the platinum is the king ranch. Platinum will work for now though

Mine looks great still. I do however put leather conditioner on mine about once a month though.
That reminds me, I need to get more.

I do too. Unfortunately platinum is my only option

My old boss had a 1 ton king ranch and his lab rode in the backseat all the time. He just put a blanket down on the leather and it was never a problem.
