I know a guy who has a collection of Nylon 66's. I didn't realize there were soooo many different combinations of colors and actions. In fact, there was even a small # of bolt action and lever action Nylon 66's made. Until researching it, I didn't realize they made one w/ a green stock. I'd always seen only the brown stock and the black stock versions....

That's the Seneca Green... The "Golden Egg" of Nylons.
The Nylon 10 was a single shot, bolt action:
Nylon 11 was a bolt action with detachable magazine:
Nylon 12 was a bolt action with tube magazine under the barrel:
Nylon 66 is semi auto with in-stock tube magazine:
Nylon 76 was the lever action with in-stock magazine tube:
And the Nylon 77 was the semi auto with the detachable magazine:

Bumping this thread bc i just got my dad's nylon 66.
Good condition. Dad said he got it for his 18th birthday. That would put it around '71. Did some research and the serial number lined up for that date.. pretty sweet that it loads in the stock. made over a million of them. the plastic feels good. very smooth..

Not to sound like a know-it-all but the brown rifle was called "Mohawk Brown" and black one was "Apache Black". I wanted one so bad as a kid I kept the add for one and memorized it. (Black Diamond was a T/C muzzleloader-have one).

I have the Model 10c and it has feed problems. It is soooo light. !It is on the list to fix "one day".
