The highlight:
ESPN still spewing the propaganda. Still waiting for the public apology for that wiretapping story.
The highlight:
quote:
In the minds of many Saints fans, that meant vindication. But that’s nothing more than blind loyalty and Saints fans are missing the point by a mile. Tagliabue found that virtually all of Goodell’s factual findings were correct, but decided the punishment didn’t fit the crime.
quote:
But, as I wrote on the day this all started, the Saints have no one to blame but themselves. Their arrogance was their downfall. If they had simply stopped the bounty program the minute the NFL told them to, we never would have heard about it. Instead, the Saints denied it and kept right on doing it and it all caught up to them.

You have such a creepy obsession with ESPN

Why is Yasinkas writing this now?

I said this a while back on this board and got killed lol. The things you quoted there are true. People assumed because Tagliabue dropped the player punishments, this meant they were innocent. That's just not what happened at all.
He's also right that the punishment had more to do with lying and covering things up than the bounties themselves. This has all been known from the beginning.
Bring the heat y'all, I can take it.

I usually like Yasinkas, but disagree with everything he's ever written on the Bounty bullshite. Dudes toting the company line so hard

It's amazing how bozos like him keep spewing wrong info. Do your job pat and report the facts of the case, not long debunked trash put out by the NFL office.

ESPN, not exactly a place of journalistic integrity (REMEMBER THE 5), is in bed with the NFL. They arent going to rock the boat of their cash cow. Why anyone would expect the company to offer anything other than the NFL line is beyond me.
