If y'all give Toledo to Central LA, we win hands down.

I still say central LA wins

you have easy access to the south end of Toledo, you have the river parishes to the west for solid deer, you have the piney woods for the best turkey hunting in the state, you have Kisatchie National Forest everywhere, you have Catahoula and Saline area for ducks and you still have access to the marsh if you live early enough

exactly.. this is a no brainer. NELA is superior in every facet of hunting. NELA has come a long way in lunker bass fishing. NELA has the most oxbows in the state, and that is where the lunker white crapalait hang out.

NELA

NELA flooded timber is the best duck huntin in the state. FACT.

More Mallards? Yes. But I'd be willing to bet that SLA wins the numbers game. There's private places in SLA where you can shoot limits of mallards every weekend; along with Pintail, Greys, Widgeon, Teal, etc.

NELA is still my favorite to hunt though

It may be a little better, but superior is a stretch.

Honestly that's SWLA. There's less mallards than in NELA but numbers wise they win.

Other than Choirboy and 34's obviously

I dont know and maybe im partial but SWLA is pretty stout. The duck hunting is unreal. The saltwater fishing is unreal with Big Lake. You have Lacassine Reserve for Bass Fishing. Deer not so much but still not horrible. If you are an outdoorsman its pretty tough to beat IMO

I am from SLA and love it but will have to say ECLA and NELA are tops. Big ole donkey deer and fat GHs, doesnt get much better.

Hunting>>>>>>Fishing for me though. If I was a bigger fisher then maybe south.

There are quite a few turkeys in our neck of the woods. I understand that everyone is going to be partial to where they hunt/live, but i have converted several coonasses to the ways of NELA, that would cast the same stones before they went up there

you guys have obviously never been in the river parishes of NELA during the winter. All they have in SWLA is smiling jacks and teal.
