My favorite pizza is a pepperoni and green olive pizza. The saltiness of the green olives, which is an alternative to anchovies, combines well with the tomatoes in the pizza sauce and spices of the pepperoni. Unfortunately, I have to make them myself as pizzarias tend to have black olives only.

I sure hope by gravy you mean red sauce, because gravy to me is something you serve with rice and would not have olives in it. Spaghetti sauce or red gravy, sure.

depends on which kind of gravy I'm making. if I'm cooking biscuits with breakfast sausage and white gravy of course I'm not going to use any fricking olives.
