You will see the tiki-taka in the MF from the likes of Spain and Barcelona where they make quick controlled passes in tight spaces. I think it's Ian Darke that calls it "football in a phonebooth". We dont have near the skill to do that though (not many do). And even then, those teams will still have width to make it easier to do that.

Gotcha, thank you. In your opinion, if we had our optimum lineup on the field(whatever your definition of that is) how would you have the USMNT playing? Didn't Jurgy promise us "free flowing, attacking" football?

yeah there is a reason alves is basically a winger on that team and not a back

they also retain 60%+ possession to keep it easy on their D, for that exact reason. barca plays real wide...they just don't swing in crosses all the time. they use width to recycle possession and stretch out Ds
