Does anyone have the playlist of songs played before they bat?

No they didn't. You just can't play any music once they step in the batters box.

No songs this year.
I don't believe they banned it entirely, they limited the amount of time the song can be played. Once the batter steps on the dirt the sound people must cut the music. When the players realize they can stall a little in the grass near home plate to hear their music play I think we will start to hear a little more of it.

They were cutting it way before that and didn't even play the song half the time this weekend. I don't know if LSU knows the rule either.. They were probably just playing it safe.

Today for the most part the batter was digging in and then taking some practice swings they cut the music.

I believe this is the new rule. They should at least let them get to the batters box.

So did they have it or didn't they?
Is the NCAA hellbent on having the game played in a fricking hour? Maybe the next thing they can do is have the bats made from cement? I really don't understand this. I wonder how many people have been attracted to the sport because of the deadening of the bat and pitch clock? It seems like they want to take all the fun out of it for those who actually go.

Do you hear some of the music played? I won't miss it too much.

I won't miss it AT ALL. The whole concept of the "walk up music" is totally played out. Why people make such a big deal out of it, I will never know. I never miss it during the regionals and super-regionals when they can't play it. I am sure the free world will survive without it. Great move by the NCAA.

Press Box Rules Clarified
A
ppendix B covers directions
for game management for
scoreboards, video and audio. Some
additions have been added to include:
• No video board replays may
be shown during a dispute with an
umpire.
• All music, chants or crowd-cuing
messages must stop when the batter
enters the dirt circle around the plate
rather than the batter’s box in the
previous rule.

I knew something was up when Raph was "doin da dougie" for the 3rd year in a row.

hanagriff explained it Saturday saying "as soon as the player hits the dirt". which is basically what the rule says on their site.
