The Galley is over priced

The Galley is good, what you talking bout?
I agree that it's pretty good food, but their prices ruin it for a lot of people. Why pay more for the same or lesser quality just bc it's in Old Metry?

Pretty much. More options though.
Eta: I had better service at Harbor.

It's all good man. I just feel like they try to make boiled seafood something it's not, and charge more for it. If that's what you like then have at it, that's why we have a ton of options here.

Got some crawfish tonight at Harbor. Pretty good. My first of this season. $3.99/lb.

Never eaten their yet, but I have great things about Bozo's Restaurant.
The friend seafood and raw oysters here are amazing. I went for lunch the Friday before Mardi Gras and was impressed with the food as always. I split a dozen raw and had half shrimp/half oyster plate.
They may have the best fried shrimp out of anywhere.

Acme, Dragos
I don't think either of these do boiled seafood (Dragos does do lobster), but if it's fried seafood you're after I would avoid these two like the plague. Acme is all around terrible in my opinion, it's a mass fried tourist trap. I like Dragos, but there fried seafood frankly isn't very good. If I go there I generally stick with the charbroiled oysters, and for an entree I either get the Stuffed Lobster or Stuffed Softshell Crab.
Now the caveat, the service has really gone down in recent years. They hand fry everything which accounts for some of that(for quality I'm willing to wait), but at times it seems like the staff doesn't care and they lolly gag around.

As mentioned, Bozo's is a great spot. I'd pass on Deanie's unless you are eating your last meal for a month.
Dennis' seafood on Lorino near West Esplanade is superb. Best boiled shrimp, crawfish, but they are purely to go. If you need a big order, you need to call in advance.
