asked the other day...got good responses but my situation has changed a little.
Staying near canal area and in walking distance to many places. Looking for something casual to where we arent breaking the bank, but still something nice.
My original plan was to eat at Katie's(but this was before we decided to spend the night)....Thanks in advance!

yeah thats rough.
SouBou Reservations online is telling me the only time they have available is 3:30 this afternoon
I will call on my way home from work and see if things might have changed or they can help me.

For casual, try Stanley's across from the St. Louis cathedral in the FQ. Great view and nice lunch/brunch. Its also very easy on the pocketbook, and a great day to walk through the FQ.

Outside of Stella! I don't think you could find a more expensive place. It's great, but spendy.

NOLA isn't expensive at all.

It's expensive when I go. Maybe it's lack of self control, but app+salad+entree is at least $60 a person. A few cocktails each and our bill is $200 easily for my wife and I. We never go alone so if another couple orders $40 steaks and a nice bottle of wine the split bill is even higher.
