Is it just me, or does anyone else think trading Gordon would be silly?

You ask why I would think that, and it is because he has us in the same situation CP3 has us in. CP3 had his impending free agency, & Gordon has his injury history.

Like CP3 & his "trade demands", Gordon's injury automatically gives the other team the upper hand in any deal. He's under contract, he hasn't bitched publicly about being here, so why are people so quick to dump him? How many times are we gonna go through this shite?

What prompts this is the shitty media members of New Orleans on twitter. McNamara thinking we can get Klay Thompson for Gordon? Fletcher mackel proposing a deal for Kevin love? What the frick kind of leverage do they think we have?

Yeah, those guys are idiots. We just have to hope that next year Gordon is healthy and productive. We'd get pennies on the dollar for Gordon. It's stupid to even consider.

The possible insanity of the other GMs and/or owners is leverage.

Problem being that most of the GMs I could see us out-gambiting are the ones who have no assets and/or no cap room.

For example, I could see Mark Cuban going hard after Gordon if he misses out on Dwight this off-season. Problem being that Dallas' only assets are an aging Dirk, OJ Mayo with an expiring contract, and a likely high 1st that can't be traded until after they make the pick due to the Stepien Rule.

Anyone who thinks we should trade him (at least this year) has no idea how the NBA works. Could the right deal come along? Sure. But it's highly unlikely that we get fair value in return. So it's silly to even consider it.

Certainly no leverage this year with Gordon being able to veto trades, but the only thing you really need for leverage is multiple serious bidders. It doesn't matter that other teams think we have to dump Gordon, it matters how much teams are willing to compete with each other to get him. The CP3 trade was between LA and LA, but had Golden State been in the mix maybe they'd have pushed the Clippers more.

If the Pelicans win the lottery again and get the first pick in the draft, I probably trade Gordon.

People like to talk trades. I also think they playing on the few that are still stuck on Gordon's shenanigans.
This guy brought some serious heat on himself, surely it still lingers in some circles.
I personally think he is a great player to have, but man does he rubb me the wrong way at times. Like the quietest Madonna ever.

Allstar break chatter gonna Allstar break chatter

I would also say unlike CP3, Gordon hasn't done much to embrace being in NOLA. I could be wrong.

McNamara is out of his mind on some of these scenarios. His #1 trade idea is to send Vasquez, Lopez and a first for the right to give Brandon Jennings sonething close to a max contract.

The Thompson rumors are dumb. GS saves no money and gets another injury prone guard who just signed a max deal- huzzah!

If anyone legit was actually reporting that, I would bet the farm that the Hornets leaked that to try to set the market.
