Cam is known as a QB guru and has developed QBs who have won Super Bowls. Why would any top QB not want to play for him? Also RBs .

LSU signed two Four Star QB's this year and thats pretty damn good!!!

According to Rivals( I believe ) LSU had the top class in the nation in regards to the recruits brought in to play QB. Not too bad for the cluster frick of an off. we seem to display more times than not.

NO. Cam will not attract top QB's in my opinion. What attracts qb is how they see theirselves fitting into the offense and the school. What a team has done plays a big part. What the coaches tell them play another big part.
So if LSU does great offensively this year Cam will get tons of credit and be heralded as the reason the offense show such drastic improvement. Then some QB's will look at that and that could influence their choice.
Truth of the matter is the offense is going to be much improved with or without Cam so he is set up to be vaulted forward in how people look at him as a coach.
WR corps. will be twice as deep as last year. WR corps will be more diversified in terms of the type of receivers we will be putting on the field. That alone would have made a huge difference last year.
Couple that with Mett. having had a bad year for Mett. Trust me or not but you saw Mett play worse than he ever has last year. So with no improvement in talent from he he should improve his game just with the role of the dice. If he actually grows as a player look out he could be special.
Offensive line got hurt with injuries last year so if we can keep from getting hammered right out of the gate again the line should be better.
I just can't see this offense not being in the top 50 this season and I am hoping for much more than that with or without a new OC.

Can you please define top QB. Jordan Jefferson, Jarrett Lee and Zach Mettenberger were all highly ranked coming out of HS.

Exactly! What QB would want to play for a guy who has a shitty history of developing QB's?
*that was sarcasm for those that don't have a sarcasm meter.

Ya think?

So were Matt Flynn and Jamarcus Russell. Zach Lee never made it to campus, but he was a highly ranked QB as well. Think back a few more years, Josh Booty. LSU hasn't had a problem attracting top QBs, this is some myth the fanbase has constructed to explain the anemic passing offense we've seen in recent years.
The proper question to ask is, "With cam as OC will LSU develop top QBs?" I'm going to say yes because that's what I want to happen and I'm trying to be positive.

Spot on.

Watch the video on Jennings. You will see a top QB.

Theoretically, it's possible.
IF Cam magically turns Mettenberger into something close to the next Bert Jones this coming Fall & the team is successful, it's not out-of-bounds to imagine the top QB (in say, California) thinking he could jump into a perceived vacant spot, despite the current two early enrollee QB's Rettig/Jennings already with a significant head-start in Cam's offense.
But there's a shitload of other possibilities to factor in:
-What if the 50/50 pass/run offense doesn't produce Heisman-like numbers? Or Mett does produce the numbers, but the team loses 4 games, including their bowl?
-What if we've already seen the best Mettenberger can do & the passing attack continues to stutter? Will you fault Cam if a 5-star QB doesn't sign next Signing Day?
-What if Mettenberger is injured/benched and Rivers or a freshman comes in and shows his inexperience or does so well that newbie claims the spot for the next 3 years?
I could go on, but you see my point.

After reading all of that I will say this... I love your pictures bro.

i am pretty sure we do this with or without him..i.e. this years recruiting class

LSU recruits 4 star QBs almost every year. We probably have more QB talent on our roster than 90% of the FBS schools do most years. This year we have a top 5 pro style and top 5 dual threat QB coming in.
The problem is not lack of talent at QB or any other position on offense.

What a team has done plays a big part.
We have had pretty lousy QBs for a couple of years and had a pretty stagnant offense for a lot of the year in 2012 and we just signed one of the best QB classes maybe in school history.

Dude, the offense coordinator plays a huge role in how, in your own words, a QB fits into the system. That's not a very logical comment.

Wrong. Rettig and Jennings both credited Kragthorpe as a major reason for coming to LSU. Try again.

Jennings is the man if Les will ever give him a chance. Probably get a shot his senior season
