MSU is a great place to watch games. Should not have problem getting a hotel room. Try lake taiko kata in Louisville. 20 miles from Starkville. 15 miles from casino.

On the same note, how is it to walk up at the box for a game? Easy to get tix? Scalping?

Heading to the Bama away series with Kim Jong Il this season. Should be a good one considering how atrocious Bama has been in baseball as of late. And who doesn't just love beating those Gumps in any sport, be it football, baseball, or badminton.

Best road trips: Miss St, A&M, Auburn, Arky, Georgia.

Four of these are not like the real answer.

Arkansas or Miss. State are definitely the ones I would try to hit. I see some bashing the Starkville hotel situation, but I do not buy that. I went and graduated from MSU and grew up in Columbus. They have plenty of hotels in the nearby region and plenty of good restaurants to choose from while you are there. As one poster suggested Columbus is, also, a nearby option. Their baseball facilities are very good and the food in the left and right field lounges are excellent and most are very hospitable.

I've to baseball series at Ole Miss, Alabama, and Tennessee. Ole Miss was by far the better environment of the 3. With that said, the SEC Tournament in Hoover is the best.

I usually attend the Miss St series and always have a nice time...the fans are great to be around and the facilities are very nice as well...

I have always been able to get tickets from their ticket office and hotels have never been a problem...Hilton Garden Inn and La Quinta are both brand new...there is also a hampton inn, a holiday inn express, and a Comfort Suites (which is within walking distance)....all hotels mentioned are nice and within two miles of the venue...

need more info on starkville or oxford, let me know....

I don't think the facilities at Dudy Noble have ever been described as "very nice."
