Baker had a nice block and some really nice steals. I'm excited to see her play more. Ballard had a really off game offensively. We just don't have a lot of depth. We should win at Auburn on Thursday and improve to 4-4. Just wondering but why did we offer Youngblood? She's not bad..... but.... she works hard and all but I would have thought we could get someone better.
Actually, the more I see Youngblood the more I think she will be a good, not great, player for us. At first I was of the opinion that she was just too big to be useful. However, she has lost SOME weight and she actually has nice footwork in the paint for a girl her size..............AND she's a good free throw shooter.......which will come in handy with her in the future. I don't expect her to be a super star but, I wouldn't be surprised if, by her senior year she's a double digit scorer for this program.
Yea, Ballard had an off game. But having been at the game tonight it appeared to me that she was just not used to dealing with the kind of defensive pressure that UK was putting on her. Kenney did a much better job handling the ball against their pressure tonight than Ballard did. But that's okay. Ballard showed more flashes of brilliance tonight. She didn't finish a lot of her plays but, she looked good during many of them.
We should win the game at Auburn on Thursday. Don't be surprised if this team doesn't win at least one of those next three games immediately following that one (TAMU, Georgia, Tennessee). This team looks much better than they did a month ago. I'm anxious to see how they play the rest of the SEC schedule.

Agree. She impressed me today. I thought she wouldn't be able to contribute any with UK up and down style but she hung in there. If she can tone it up she'll give us some post depth.
