I hate being negative but for the past 5 years LSU has leaned heavily on the defense. With that being said we will be extremely green on defense. If changes aren't made to the offense then we will need to score more. That's what scares the crap out of me after watching the offense last year.LSU having to score 30 a game on offense against the SEC. It's been a long time since that has happened. I believe 9-5 maybe what we finish with a young defense and an offense run by a three headed monster that hasn't found a way to pass in the last 5 years

so you're thinking what, 6-2 or 7-1 in the SEC and we win the west? who are the other regular season losses?

LSU is not losing 5 fricking games. Get real.

Different year, same story.

OMG nooooz not miss st.. not ole miss. We still own both those bitches and will continue to do so. It will be no different.

A&m is coming to LSU to lose.
Florida is coming to LSU to lose.

Bama, who we always play tight, lost some key offensive lineman.. so who knows.

UGA will be tough on the road, but still winnable.

GTFO with that 5 loss bullshite. 2-3 losses MAX. I don't care who LSU lost to the draft, they still return the entire O with a SENIOR QB with experience. That is much more important. Defense is easier to replace with young skillful talent.

For the last 3 years, we've lost our best defensive players from the year before. We might not be top 5 defense, but we will be top 15.

I don't think chief has ever had a bad defense. It's not like he's replacing draft picks with scrubs. D will be fine

Some of you people are dumb. 5-6 losses? Lol no. Do you remember 2011 D was mostly hungry sophomores ready to prove themselves? That will be 2013 also. How do some of you people live with your miserable selves everyday?

Defense will be down a bit, offense will have to improve. I see 8-3 regular season if the offense improves just a bit.

John Chavis is waaaaay to good to have the talent LSU has on D and still have a bad D. Yes, they will be young. We won't skip a beat. D, might not be the best in the SEC, but it still will be very good.

We'll be alright. We return the same amount of starters in 2013 that we did in 2012.

Why in the flying frick is everyone shitting themselves? We return both WRs, our QB, our RB, our FB and 3 on the OL. The offense is much better off than it was at this time last year. We were playing with a first year QB in the SEC.

On defense, you're just going to have to learn new names. Say what you want about Miles but the dude recruits his arse off and there is still talent on this team. With the exception of Minter, these guys that left were not overly exceptional this year. The depth along the DL is top notch. We are getting Tahj Jones back. Mills had a good year. Collins had a decent freshman year. Loston had a good year.

Expect LSU to compete again next year.
