why don't you list the different ways our coaching staff put the ball in his hands

Really? They've handed the ball off to him and they've thrown him the ball. What else do you want? Flee flickers, Hook and Lateral?
Shep is not this great talent that was squandered by the staff. Like I said , he doesn't have elite speed, he has below avg hands, and runs some of the worst routes I've ever seen and he goes down at the first touch.

All you posters defending Shep , must have missed his tweet saying," every recruit from Texas, should go to A&M". That's what your hero said.

I try to never talk bad about our players, but once Shep said that all Texas recruits should now go to A&M, he is fair game.

you misunderstood me. I think the coaches used him in every way you possibly could have. In fact, they were more creative with him than any offensive player we've had in some time. He just didn't pan out on the field.

No wonder Chd Jones and Tyrann told LSU players not to read the Rant: Players get thrown under the bus here jut to protect the coaches rep. Wow

The people throwing players under the bus are predictably Les Miles fans. Unfortunately, he is the program for them.

The program wouldn't be where it is without Shep, Jefferson, Lee, Randle, and....Miles.

Again how is saying he's not good throwing him under the bus?

Probably because it's wrong.

Averaging 7 yards per carry would disagree with your talent evaluationl

It's the usual cast of characters bashing him.

Not exactly what he said, but CSB. He also constantly pimps LSU on Twitter, but you ignore that.

That number goes down about a 1.5 yards in SEC play but he hit a big run from time to time but couldn't catch well, couldn't block well, couldn't run routes well. Certainly wasn't used to maximum efficiency definitely wasn't a can't miss talent.

If a player has a 60 yard run and then 10 more carries for a total of 70 yards, his ypc is high , but it was high because of one carry.

He had about 100 carries for his career. Vast majority his first two years. He never was a WR, but his carries dropped in order to make him one.

For that many carries, 7 YPC is pretty damn good no matter what you think.

So automatically remove all runs over 30 yards? You're really, really reaching.

This. Shep isn't elite at anything. He isn't a burner, he isn't elusive in the open field and he has below avg hands and runs below avg routes. I'm sorry to tell you fan boys that LSU just had better options. Shep is probably the 7th or 8th best player , with the ball in his hands. Ware, Hill , Hilliard, ford, Landry , obj, Boone are all better options at their positions.

I'm not reaching for shite. Shep's ypc are very high because of outlier runs. I think Shep is a decent player , but LSU just had better options. He is a good guy and has represented LSU with class. He has given more to LSU football on a Wednesday afternoon , during the offseason, THAN I EVER WILL. for that , I'm grateful.

Right, and to you, outlier means anything over 20 or 30 yards. Take out any RB's beat 10-20 runs and I bet their YPC drops.

Man, you people are really stupid.
