Lets see how they do in Tiger Stadium next year. I know I am not the only one that hates aTm almost as much as Bama.

Looking forward, the potential for AtM with Sumlin at the helm is staggering. With the recruiting base, the money, and the passionate fan base, all that place needed was the coach. Of course, they have to show that they can continue the momentum, but considering what they did in the toughest division in college football with a new staff and true frosh QB, I expect them to get better and better.

I think LSU will struggle to maintain its #2 status.

First he is a RS freshman but that doesn't really matter. And for anyone who doesn't think that TAMU will not be a team to worry about year in and year out, they do not know what they are talking about. For every reason you named TAMU is going to be a powerhouse in the SEC and we need to get used to it. The good news is that they are going to be a powerhouse to everyone else also. Where they are in the west really is a moot point, just the fact that they are going to be another really tough game each and every year is what really matters and they will.

There is a HUGE difference between a PROGRAM and a TEAM. A&M's program is not on LSU's level.

aTm finished 3rd in the SECW, 1-2 against the 3 top 10 teams they played. They, just like LSU, struggled against Mississippi, barely beat La Tech, and got beat at home twice. They finished 5th in the SEC at best.

If you choose to believe the hype and think they can sustain the same level of competitiveness year in and year out like they did this year, I would say you need to put down the koolaid. They will be good, but I see them more like an Arkansas. They will compete for the championship every now and then, but they won't be consistently at the top of the SECW like LSU and Bama have been recently.

The reality is, LSU goes 10-2 beating two top 10 teams in aTm and SCAR and lose to Bama and Florida and people on here think we are one the worst teams Miles ever fielded. All while doing this with a make-shift OL and new QB. aTm goes 10-2 losing to LSU, while having two AA/NFL OTs and a beastly OL and they are the next big thing. On our down year we were better than the best year they've had in 15 years.

I think moving forward LSU will still be competing to win the West as it consistently does under this coaching staff.

LSU, Bama, and Florida are the 3 best programs in the nation, so no.

We have no idea how good Sumlin really is. Manziel would have made John L Smith look like a genius. Keep in mind Sumlin lost plenty of games at UH.

Oh, and there is that head-to-head record of 1-0 in LSU's favor with A&M as an SEC team.

Im interested to see how they do without Joeckel, Swope, Moore, and Porter. They were pretty key in their success.

Athough im not going to sit here and think theyre going to fall off the map. Manziel is special, hell keep them in every game they play. We just have to hope we get a combination of key stops, his mistakes, and our offense keeping up.
