Bleacher Report even recognizes what we all have been saying.

Bleacher Report just put out a report on the top 50 toughest schedules for 2013, LSU is number 5 on the list but what is truly interesting is that 13 of the 14 SEC teams made the list with the only team not to make the list THE GUMPS.
I guess you can look at that two ways;
1. They are so far head and shoulders better than everyone that no matter who they play it will not be tough for them.
or
2. The a**holes in Birmingham really are helping the Tide as much as they possibly can.
What a crock of sh*t to let those guys in Birmingham get away with this scheduling bullsh*t. And shame on the entire conference Presidents and AD's for allowing this to happen.
If anyone doesn't think that those a**holes in Birmingham did just pave a road for Bama right to another BCS title game, then open your eyes this is a crock of sh*t.

I don't like this argument much. The bottom line is that we have to beat Alabama. All the SOS arguments go out the window if we can't beat the team that matters. We can lose one of those other games (UGA or UF) as long as we beat Bama. If we swapped out UGA or UF with a weaker east opponent, guess what, we still have to beat Bama. I'll take the schedule with more quality teams on it as it makes for a hell of a season (2011).

You are right and Bama has to beat us, but if you don't think playing an easier schedule helps than there is no reasoning with you. They play Tenn & UK this year both rebuilding with new coaches. Do you actually think those will be tough games for Bama? Do you actually think those games will take a mental and physical toll on them? Switch our UF & UGA games with them and doesn't it look a little easier to think of possibly getting to the SEC Championship.
Love it don't complain, keep things the status quo meanwhile the Gumps laugh their asses off while USC, UGA, UF & LSU beat themselves up.

No one but us remembers that season because they only thing in people's minds is the 21-0 blowout.

You're probably right on the BCS game, but the 2011 season was as good as it gets for fans. Also, losing the BCS game has nothing to do with our regular season schedule, which is the topic of the OP.

yes, some people remember the loss.
most remember the winner, but overall, lsu/les are known as winners.
it really has to do with your perspective.
and you are especially helpful to accentuate the negative.

All you need to know is they think Cal has the toughest schedule...GTFO...Pac 12 sucks!!!

LSU simply layed down in the 21-0 blow out. They had a great shot & looked like they would rather be some where else. Les really had them ready in that game. Also against Clemson! 3 out of 4 losses in the last bowl games.

PacWilly, the counter to that is that it leaves LSU with a margin of error of just one game. If Bama projects to go undefeated due to excellence/advantageous scheduling, your season is over if you lose to them. Perfection every single year as a prerequisite for the division title is a ridiculous expectation. Even if LSU beats Bama, what are the chances they go unscathed against Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and A&M?
If Bama loses to LSU, what are the chances they still win the rest of their games? Still pretty good.
I know we have to beat Bama. There's no getting around that, and Bama has to deal with us. The issue is that Bama doesn't have to deal with Florida, Georgia and South Carolina... and we do.
I respect the chest-beating aspect of saying "frick it, we're LSU, we're not afraid of anyone, we got this." You and others like you are awesome for saying that. But those who are creating this situation are counting on you to say that. You're playing right into their hands. This isn't about who's a pussy and who's not. It's about what's logical and fair. After all LSU has accomplished in and for the SEC over the years, don't you feel a level playing field is the LEAST we deserve?

Not to mention Bama's margin for error is TWO games against LSU, along with finishing THIRD in the SEC. Much different standard that you can tack on to their already rediculously easy schedule, which is another huge advantage.
