Tommy Casanova on Johnny Musso in 1969-70. Bama fans still claim the hit was out of bounds.

Michael Clayton Auburn 2001 hit propelled him to a first round draft pick.

Michael Clayton flat out broke Roderick Hood in half, and the entire crowd in TS went "oooohhhh" at once.
People actually stopped returning punts against Christian Life during Clayton's last season or so. He was such a man among boys - imagine, your HS QB intimidating other teams into fair catching every punt, because they were afraid he was going to end up killing somebody.

That whole play was awesome. Rarely feel sorry for a defender but you had to feel for the guy ODBs destroyed.

On a kick or punt return against Ole Miss I think in TS, Nicky Savoie nearly killed some poor bastard
It may have been Arkansas, and it was a LB #44. I remember it well from my seat in the middle of the NEZ.
It was a punt return by Kevin Faulk I think that started in the middle of the field around the North 15 yard line, cut toward the east sideline, and turned upfield. #44 was trying to use an angle to beat Faulk to the sideline but was not quite there.
Meanwhile, Nicky saw that #44 was the only guy close, peeled back from blocking in the middle of the field, and headed straight toward the east sideline in a full sprint.
#44 never saw Nicky at all. It was a full shoulder in the middle of the chest that sent #44 from about 10 feet from the sideline to completely out of bounds.
I wish there was a video of this somewhere.
csb alert: I saw Nicky last weekend. Still a BIG dude.
