Won't be half as funny if all six lose in the first round.

That would suck for the national broadcaster up here but there have been years where there have only been 1 or no CDN teams in the playoffs...so the Playoffs would be record views even if all went out...actually now that i think of it, i expect at least one series will involve 2 CDN teams so that's pretty much impossible...

Crosby out indefinitely with a broken jaw.

oh firfuxsake goddamn it...any news on concussion? He was doing so well...

No concussion, broken jaw and out until the playoffs most likely. 4-6 weeks.
There goes scoring title and MVP shot, but a Cup will make up for it.

That would be silly.
Malkin, Neal, and Iginla will step up to finish off the regular season.

I think it's still possible for him to win the Ross Trophy. He's got 56 points, and the closest guy is Stamkos with 46. After him Kunitz has 44 and St. Louis with 43. Really, if the Lightning go into a slump and Kunitz's numbers decline without playign with Crosby... you would need Kane (42 points in 34 games) to play at a point a game pace to tie Crosby.

Kunitz will probably play on Line 2 now I'd imagine.
I'd think the new lines will be
Line 1: Neal-Malkin-Iginla
Line 2: Kunitz-Sutter-Dupuis
Line 3: Morrow-Adams-Cooke
Line 4: Glass-Vitale-Kennedy

This was all a plot to make Iginla the captain.

Iginla can be whatever the hell he wants to be.

Dr. Bernard Costello of UPMC performed the surgery. Crosby’s jaw did not require to be wired and he lost a few teeth.
Good news there, didn't have to be wired and no concussion.

can you even imagine a habs-leafs series in the playoffs?? The Air Canada center and the Phone Booth would have the roofs blown off from the excitement from the fans. It would be surreal.

Blue Jackets knock off Anaheim in OT to go back up to #8 in the West. I'll shite my panties if these guys end up making the playoffs.

You know what the narrative would be as well...the Stanley cup that should have been, if not for Kerry Fraser's famous non-call against Gretz...I have seen 2 Habs Leafs tilts during the regular season in Montreal and it's beautiful thing...People walking down Rue St. Catherines and Rene Levesque BLVD in Habs and Toronto Jerseys...even the old french ladies in their snooty way looking on with disapproval of a Leafs Jersey displayed openly...People slightly tipsy before the game singing songs about the Habs...Then there are the impromptu parades after a playoff win in downtown Toronto along Yonge St. I will miss being there after so many years in Toronto... Still if the Loafs make it to the final I will go back...If tickets cost 1k bucks for Nosebleeds I would pay it...
