I have never seen so many people at the shooting range

The range I usually go to is in Tuskegee, AL. I went Sunday (trying to sight in my new CrimstonTrace). The range has six stalls (is that the right word?). I have never seen them all full before. I have been twice since New Years and there have been 3-4 people there each time. The two times before this year I went, my group was the only out there.
I pulled up Sunday. There were about 25 cars. I had to wait over an hour to shoot. There were a shite ton of college kids (Auburn Univ is only a short drive away). Guess they were all shooting their new guns from xmas. There was some pretty decent talent out there though
Too much going on. Didn't get it sighted perfectly. Met a couple of nice people. One dude had a fully automatic AR (it had select fire). He seemed a little off.
Some old militia looking dude got really, really pissed off that someone shot his metal .22 spinner target with an AR. He yelled at the top of his lungs, "If you don't know where your bullets are going, don't pull the damn trigger!" 4 or 5 times. He did leave his target out there for over an hour while he was at his truck BSing with some other people. Your shite is gonna get shot IMO.
TL;DR: All in all, worst range experience ever

Its about 20 minutes closer to me than where I hunt, so i usually go there to shoot. Sunday was the last time though. Apparently someone is opening up an indoor range in montgomery soon. i'm ready for that to happen

I posted in another thread around the new year that the wife and I went to Bud's range in Lexington one Thursday morning about 20 minutes after they opened. Normally there would be 2-3 patrons in there milling around. On that morning there were close to 100 people in the store and you had to take a number to get waited on. We were going to shoot at the range, and there was a waiting list, and they have 13 lines. The place was crazy...
We didn't end up shooting, but I did buy a couple of guns while I was there.

I went to Carter Country in North Houston a few days ago on a Saturday morning. They have a very large outdoor range. I'd say probably 50 to 60 stalls combined 25 to 100 yards. I had never seen so many people there. I'd say it was 80% full and at least every other person there had at least 1 AR with them if not 2 or 3.

Me and a couple buddys went to Precision on Satrday. There was a line outside before they opened and by the time we got there it was a 1-1.5 hour wait to get a lane. When we finally did get a lane, they made us share it . Inside the range was unbearable, at least two people per lane (some had 3 or 4). Shot a couple boxes and went to check out (got interesting here). They were charging each person full price to share lanes . Lets just say I won't be going back and might not be welcome if I did.
