This is what Star Wars should have been for a good two decades now. Pretty much a futuristic universe that allows for anything. I wouldn't mind having just about anyone do their own little spin on the universe.

Hopefully he's not writing the script. Sucker Punch was horrible

Wouldn't this be like 10 years from now?

I know they originally said they were going to do 7, 8, 9 and then stand alone films on occasion.

I don't think they could do this at the same time as 7, 8, 9 as that would be way too confusing to a lot of people.

Possibly my favorite movie of all time. But I don't know if you can call it a remake, just as I don't consider Magnificent Seven and A Bugs Life remakes. They just use the story outline, which turned out nice for both, it's not a samurai movie.

And dear lord Star Wars needs a good story. Good decision on there part.

This could easily be done within episodes 4, 5 & 6. A crap load of stuff happened in between those movies. Plus, you could still have the Droids, Vader, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, The Empire, and a lot of other key characters that we all love.

Clone Wars having already done this is what makes it, to me, some of the most enjoyable Star Wars since the original trilogy
