You really have to seperate the qb's that called their own plays to the ones that have a live feed to their offensive co-ordinator. In my own opinion, the ones that had to recognize defenses and react, are eons better. Not to say the post headset qb's now couldn't do it, its just the way I see it.

Baseball is a bad comparison. A starting pitcher plays about one every four games. He has no control over the other starting pitchers, he has no control over his teammates' abilities to score runs, limited control over their abilities to field the ball.
exactly, awful comparison.

I just think he is over rated when they have to reference his hail marry in college as a starting point for his NFL highlights

What's so funny? I'm serious. Name a team with better WRs than the Packers. I'll wait.

Continuing with the Bills theme, what about Drew Bledsoe?

Falcons
Browns
Raiders
Kansas City
Washington

well, that's an over-played highlight for sure but I don't think people consider him a great QB as a result of that play

besides, who wants to watch highlights of him making a bad Buffalo team above average?

When I think "overrated", I think of a qb that was said to be great(by fans, media, etc.) but never produced a championship. In the recent history I would say McNabb and Vick. These guys to me are overrated. They both had multiple chances to lead a team to a championship and didn't.

Giants- Cruz, Nicks, Randal, Hixon
Dallas- Dez, Austin, Ogletree
Falcons- Julio, White
Saints- Moore, Colston, Henderson
Denver- Thomas, Decker, Stokley
Tampa- Williams, Jackson

all are good units

That's nice, but Vinny played in a total different era, with different rules and passing games.

38 TD, 8 INT, 4200+ yards while throwing to #3/4 receiver all season and no running back.... OVER RATED
Rodgers has more talent of WR on his team than most other QB in the league. He doesnt have a megatron, but everytime he throws the ball, he has a solid guy catching it that will get extra yards.
James Jones, Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Jermichael Finley, Randall Cobb.

Aaron Rogers is an elite talent i just hate the idiots that say "o he already better than Favre" I'd have to say Steve Mcnair was the most overrated. He was tough though.

Falcons are better. Packers are very good, but I think they deserve much of their credit for having great QBs throw to them for two consecutive decades. Kind of like with the Colts.

A great QB can make any average NFL receiver look great (Pats before the Moss signing, Saints).

As for the QB/pitcher comparison, anyone who looks at Big Ben going 9/21 with 2 interceptions and thinks that's why his team won a Super Bowl is showing the same understanding of statistics as a voter who didn't want to reward King Felix in 2010

I think what he's saying is that Jennings and Nelson played about half a season each.

Good units, sure. I'd still take Jordy Nelson, Greg Jennings, James Jones, Randall Cobb, and Donald Driver over any of those groups. It's JMO, though.

A couple good seasons and everyone thinks he's Jesus.
I rather enjoyed watching his less than stellar performances this year.
