Hill had a great second half of his first season. He's no Faulk though. He isn't even Addai.
ETA: Not saying he can't be, but he's not really close yet. He's a great runner, but Addai and especially Faulk had more to their game.

To be fair, has anyone ever come close to having the same fire as Faulk? He was in a class all of his own.

I think the well-roundedness of Hill's game is underrated. the coaches were bringing him in for pass protection situations before they really started featuring him as a runner, and he can catch.
he's an intriguing talent to say the least.

Agreed. I think he has potential, he just hasn't shown the explosiveness in those other areas like the aforementioned did. The potential is there though. I just think comparing him to guys like addai and Faulk is a tad premature.

same talk was said about Ware when he was trucking over people two years ago to never get those caries again, then it was said about Hilliard last year, and look at his season this year, Now Hill has an excellent 2nd half season is its being said about him now....Fact is LSU always has stud rbs who could be anyones starter and premiere back in NCAA. Thats a lock!

Hill is good but shite, he has to produce a LOT more to be up there with Faulk.

This is spot on. I know the dude and he TOLD me in a job interview that he would end up being the best back out of what LSU has . The dude is a beast and IF Miles handles him right he could set records that may NEVER be broken at LSU. YES. The dude is THAT GOOD.BUt as of NOW??? He is nowhere near as good as faulk or Dalton Hiliard[the BEST EVER]IMO.

Expectations and acclamations this high just lead to disappointment and attacking the kid when he isn't up to that bar. Look at Mett.

I think you're right. He sees the hole better than Addai, Ridley, and the others. He seems to have a better acceleration in the open field as well. He's jumped ahead, as a true freshman, of probably 4 NFL caliber backs. There's a reason why he was breaking big runs and the next back would always get a few yards. Great observation.

He's the best since a freshman Justin Vincent. Please don't jinx him.
Justin Vincent wasn't in Hill's class. This guy has everything Vincent has plus speed and more power. If it was Hill who got that first carry against Oklahoma he would have scored. Vincent got run down easily. No comparison.
And, yes, Hill is our best back, but I'll go back to Dalton Hilliard. We've never had a back as good as Hilliard at picking up "running back yards", and we still don't. Hill's great speed, though, turns some of those 10 yard carries into TDs. I like Faulk, but I'm calling him third.
If you consider Kevin, Chris, and Marshall Faulk, and Dalton and Kenny Hilliard plus Jeremy Hill, I say if a recruit's name is Faulk or starts with Hill, sign him up!

Hill has as much potential as any RB to play at LSU. Ever.
