No way I'd think about scheduling a public school after a split if I was a private school coach/administrator

Definitely. I wouldn't schedule anyone but other select enrollment schools so that the publics would have as little chance to make money off my program as possible.

Didn't Supa talk about a baseball coach in the Acadiana area that goes to all the private school tournaments so that they'll play his team at home and he can fund his program off the gate receipts from those games? It was something like that. But the same thing happens with the public schools in Baton Rouge when they play Catholic. They can't afford to give up that game, that's the most money they make all year.

You don't think those schools would want to play WM or Byrd with their huge followings?

The post was quoted from Cajun preps, and it was from a principal at a St Mary parish high school. He said (to paraphrase) that he sends his baseball and softball team to the tournaments hosted by private schools and he schedules home games with those private schools to fund his programs.

i hope it goes to a roll-call vote so we can see who's gutless and who's not... maybe if the private schools start their own association and the publics who want to can't play them, there might be legal action for future lost gate receipts.
