I'm not saying I want it to happen. I may or may not depending on the cost. But the braves definitely have the personnel to trade for upton.

The rumored deal was Furbush, Pryor, Franklin, and one of Walker/Paxton/Hultzen. The Braves can match that.
Posted on 1/10/13 at 7:39 pm to lsu31always
What you think of Franklin?
Posted on 1/10/13 at 7:40 pm to lsu31always
Braves don't have a stud pitcher of that caliber of hultzen/walker do they

Depends on how much you like Teheran or Delgado.
Posted on 1/10/13 at 7:46 pm to lsu31always
That's a pretty big range of the 3 pitching prospects, probably was Hultzen.

Teheran stock way down though I heard he pitched well in one of the winter leagues

So why do we think he has Boston, Chicago and Toronto on his no trade list?
I mean I understand Seattle and Toronto to an extent.

Weirdest no trade list ever?
Posted on 1/10/13 at 9:20 pm to lighter345
Which Chicago?
Boston is a little odd
Toronto makes sense as they were no bodies before big trades
If Cubs I understand and if White Sox maybe they were included when Ozzie was still coach

Cubs. It changes every year.

I hadn't even looked at his no trade clause to see the conditions. Still think for most far they devalue players but they provide them with a ton of leverage

Was Yankees, Cubs, red sox, and Indians during 2012, Seattle was only added recently after being involved in so many rumors. Maybe Upton was only presented with the trade and hasn't been offered any compensation by Seattle to drop the no-trade yet.

Red Sox- Can hold out for money to waive NTC
Cubs- Can hold out for money to waive NTC
Blue Jays- Doesn't want to pay Canadian taxes?
Seattle- Pitcher friendly, would decrease FA value in a few years

Weirdest I have ever heard of.
He must have some serious hate to not want to go to Boston or Chicago. Maybe he still thinks they are racist.

So are the Pirates not in this at all?
They certainly have the prospects...
