I don't know, what do these guys have to gain by staying: Aaron Murray, AJ McCarron, Tahj Boyd?

The sarcasm in this posts is inferring that we had no talent on offense, so I'm guessing that all of these stud early-entries played on the defensive side. Therefore, we surely had the top rated defense in the country, right?
Total defense: 8th
Scoring defense: 12th
Yet we have more underclassmen leaving than any team in the history of the NFL draft.

Alabama after winning 2 out of 3 national titles in 2012: 2 early entries, both first round picks (some debate here, I had 4, Crimsonsaint had 2 - regardless, it was not 10)
Alabama in 2011: 3 early entries, all first round picks
After winning 3 out of 4 national titles in 2013: 3 at the most
What do these guys have left to play for at Alabama? Don't they realize that they could be making money in the NFL next year?

What do those guys (as it relates specfically to our players leaving this year) have to gain by staying? Ware? nothing. Ford? nothing

Yeah b/c we're loaded with NFL-ready offensive players all over the field

You are an idiot.
Go check how many players Bama had leave last year that were not seniors. Try educating yourself before you come on here just spewing bullshiteee.

Alot. QBs who come back have a ton to gain. They could all play themselves into a top half 1st round pick.

Not sure if serious? They have a hell of a lot to gain since Boyd would probably be about the 10 rated QB and McCarron probably wouldn't be too far in front of him.
Murray could probably go, but again, he will be a first rounder next year. He would not this year.

You don't think Aaron Murray and Tahj Boyd were going to be top 15 picks?
You're making a case for these guys to improve their draft status into the top 15 overall picks, yet LSU has guys declaring early who are going to be 3rd, 4th, and very late round picks.

The Alabama obsession is even taking over fans I thought used to be good posters.
It's starting to get really awful on here.

Dude there is no way in hell Boyd would have been a top 15 pick. He would have been about the 8-10 rated QB in this class.
Murray would not have been a top 15 pick either. No way in hell.

Having this many "NFL ready" underclassmen, yet only being able to muster a Peach Bowl loss is a problem somewhere, either our program has issues or the guys aren't NFL ready

If you want to count 4th year junior Dont'a Hightower then go for it. He was on campus for four years buddy boy.

Most of our guys leaving have been on campus 4 years also. Not seeing your point.

Not a chance. If, and thats a big if, a QB is taken in the top 15 it will be Geno Smith. And that doesnt depend on who else is there.

Correct it is called a redshirt junior.
Kind of like Mingo, Minter, Montgomery, Faulk, Logan, and Ford all were. Every one of them redshirted and was on campus for 4 years. So when we talk about players leaving early should we just not count them since they were really on campus for 4 years or would you rather keep having a double standard to make LSU's situation sound worse than it is?

It's not just an Alabama obsession. It's a Florida obsession, a Clemson obsession. Those are teams that beat us this year.
It's a Texas A&M obsession, it's a South Carolina obsession, it's a Georgia obsession. Those are all teams that finished ranked ahead of us this year.

Aaron Murray - He really wants to win a national title. That's important to some people.
AJ McCarron - He will not have a long NFL career. His future is autograph sessions around the state and free drinks at the Red Elephant Club. Winning a third national title as a starter secures that future.
Tahj Boyd -
ETA: How many players do you think go in first round. Are you aware that there are only 32 NFL teams? So you are saying Tahj Boyd, Aaron Murray and four kids from Bama would have all gone in first had they come out???

Tell that to the Cotton and Outback Bowls. Tell that to the AP and Coaches Poll voters that ranked them higher than us at the end of the year.
I see the final standings and try to figure out what it's going to take for LSU to finish ahead of those guys next year, and losing 10 very good players who have eligibility left is not the best way to go about that.

Outside of being in the final two leading into the title game, why do you care where we are ranked? What's the differnce between #9 and #14 or #11?
Also, I've been to the Cap One Bowl. It sucks. I'd take the Chick Fil A any day.

What exactly does this have to do with anything at all? You cant seriously base who you think is a better football team by which bowl selects them. Come on.

You look at the final standings trying to figure out how we can beat a team that we beat this year?
Maybe you should check out how much A&M is losing before you get your panties too bunched.
Also check our whats going to happen UGA's defense.
