Best of the Best Louisiana Food Edition

I've lived here over a year now and have become obsessed with the food. I am making it a mission to try the best this state has to offer. My experiences have mainly been limited to the Lafayette and Nola areas. Please give me any suggestions you have for the categories listed below. Restaurants only, everyone's relative makes the best. Here is my list so far....

If you want some great food around Lafayette go to Shade Tree Cafe in Broussard it is some of the best food around.

Mr Johns and LaBoca are a lot better than the 3 steak places on the list.

Haven't been in years, but Pat's in Henderson used to have awesome gumbo. I'm also partial to Maspero poboys.

Yeah, it's in Cypress Bayou. It sucks that it's in probably the shittiest none truck stop casino in Louisiana
