re: So is there even any indication that we might be looking at another OC?

It's execution to an extent. I do attribute that to the offensive staff, something needs to change there. We aren't good enough to waste spots on the O staff. We've got stud pulling double duty as OC and Oline coach meanwhile we've got a a TE coach that we don't need. We have gotten nowhere near the level of play from TEs where I would think we should be having Ensminger any money.

It's sucks but I think they were protecting there 1st year starter.
That and the fact he struggled at the beginning of the season catching up with the game.
I don't think Mett is far away from being a pretty good SEC QB.
Most SEC QB's improved after their 1st yr playing and that is a scary thought when you look at A&M.
We threw more, but we need to be more effective and that's gonna start upfront and with the QB/R's no matter who calls the plays. imo

Cam Cameron? Chan Gailey?
Cameron would be a dumb hire. The Ravens offense is the NFL version of LSU's offense. I think Chan Gailey would be better. The Bills overall are terrible but they're offense has been pretty productive under him. It doesn't matter who the OC is though. Miles won't let him run his offense.

Why is it that so many Tiger fans believe execution is a gift from God. It's coachable!!!

It's is coachable and coaches & players should be held accountable.
Coaches coach players play.
Football is a chess match. But even if both defense and offense make perfect play calls the players have to exicute.

Oh I know. I do agree that we need to find a better offensive mind to coach the offense, but if the players execute this past season our offense looks much better.

The whole "players have to execute" thing only works for so long IMO.
At what point do you not figure out which match ups you keep losing?
That's like putting me in the game one on one to block Clowney and then wonder why the QB keeps getting sacked

That's why I said they deserve equal blame it's not all on either it's both.

Seems like the biggest no brainer of all time but I would figure we would have heard something about a coaching search by now
Ever consider that Miles may be waiting to see if K is healthy enough and has his medical issues under control before making a change?
Is the problem the play calling or the execution? Second guessing is easy. Had we run on 2nd and 3rd and not picked up the 1st--I am sure we would still be hearing the meltdown, except it would be "we are too predictable"
What should happen is Miles needs to decide the OC must be a full time position and not split job roles, but after 2012 regular season it was kind of hard to make that arguement. Either give the reins to K or Stud, and if it is Stud then hire a line coach.
