It's the same logic all the SEC fans are using in Mondays game.
Being the best team in the best conference usually means that team has played a tough schedule, so if they win a lot of games, then they should have a strong ranking and it shows they are a legit team. But it doesn't necessarily mean they are the best team.

NDSU is best team. Plus they've played better competition.
